St. James Grape & Fall Festival Queen Crowned 

September 4, 2008

Julie Moreland, daughter of Paulette and Jeff Moreland, was crowned 2008 Grape and Fall Festival Queen on Thursday night.. For her talent, Julie did a demonstration in culinary art by making pretzels.  Julie, like each of the queen candidates, prepared an on-stage presentation highlighting a decade of the pageant, fair, and St. James community.


First Runner-Up was Kayla Klossner, daughter of Kevin and Crissy Klossner. Megan Miller, daughter of Sheri and Bill Miller, was named Second Runner-Up and Most Talented.  The title of Miss Congeniality went to Olivia O'shaughnessy, daughter of Pat O'shaughnessy and Michelle and Kevin Whitener.  Cheyenne Ortega, daughter of Philip Ortega and Angel Moore won the title, Most Photogenic.

ST. JAMES GRAPE & FALL FESTIVAL DATES ANNOUNCED

The 75th Annual St. James Grape & Fall Festival will take place at the Nelson Hart Park in St. James, Missouri on September 4-6, 2008 according to fair organizers. 

 

This year’s festival promises to be bigger than ever with an exciting parade, larger street market, carnival, a wine garden and grape stomp.  There will be nightly entertainment with announcements being made soon as to performers.

 

St. James, Missouri is conveniently located on I – 44 just 90 miles east of St. Louis, Missouri.  St. James was established in early 1800’s as a trading post and now  boasting local retailers, wineries, bed and breakfasts, all located just ten minutes from the Meramec River.
